CFW: 3.71 M33
PSP: FAT
MEM Stick: 2 GB, FAT16
PROGRAM: PSX2PSP v 1.3

What happens:

I select the eboot, I get a black screen, the MS light blinks like a motherfucker. I've tried making a multidisc out of MGS and it gives me this, yet when I make eboots for each disc, they play smoothly. Same goes for FF7.

Net Result: Black screen, with blinking MS light for an indefinite amount of time.

How can I fix this? I've searched all the stickies and have exercised the search button.

I figured out how to fix the problem.

If anyone was wondering how, I'll give you the basics and you can PM for more help.

Upgrade to 3.90 M33
Download Popsloader 3.80
Install Popsloader
Enable Popsloader
Choose which version to use. FF7 works on 3.72

wow i made this a long time ago. But i'll help you just because you used the search button.

If it's a multiboot, all you gotta do is dick around with the disc selection. so if its not booting to disc 1, load disc 2 in the options, let it boot, then go and select disc 1 again and it should work. i know ff8 is 4 discs, so theres definitely going to be some combination of "disc swapping" that will work.

It's what worked for me, so lets hope you have the same luck.
