Yesterday I semi-bricked my psp. I was searching all over this forum and other sites too. Since it was a semibrick, it can't load up only recovery mode. Once in recovery mode, open usb,go online and look for hellcats recovery flasher. Load up the downloaded folders into the appropriate places into the memory stick. And then follow the instructions from the README file included. This method worked perfectly. Alot of people said it doesn't work on 4.01m33, but it does. There should be a sticky topic about this. Everyone told me that the only way to fix the semibrick was with pandora's battery.

Also I forgot to mention, PSP>GAME>RECOVERY has to have the EBOOT.PBP and the 3.71 OR 4.01 update eboot as well. Plus the root of the memory stick needs to have the rflash.elf file and the recovery eboot as well. Trust me it works perfectly!
