Trouble installing CFW on 4.01OFW slim psp

My friend recently bought a new slim psp and it has 4.01 OFW on it. I made a pandora's battery ( Hardmodding method) and a magic memory stick. For some reason when I try to boot using the Pandora's battery all I get is a black screen and the power light stays on. So, I tried this on my slim psp with 4.01 M33-2 CFW and it worked flawlessly. I've been searching for an answer and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Any ideas?

it's a TA-088 v3 ... at present, unhackable.

your MMS won't work with it because the software to be loaded isn't digitally signed by SONY.

you must wait on dark alex to figure out a workaround... don't hold your breath though.
