im new to the modding world of the 360 and in need of some help. any bit of help will be greatly appreciated!

here is the situation:

I tried to use a 162D drive (installed on primary IDE as a slave drive to my Pioneer burner) with kreon 1.00 fw and xbox backup creator 2.8 to backup my games. I followed every step as stated in the testbook2008. And I also went to the Option tap in XBC and changed the drive to 162D from the default 162C. But when I tried to rip my first game which is an original disk (GOW), it would stop at 3.39% and say:

Processing Security Sector...

(then)

Get Security Sector Failed; Retrying again (this repeats 4 or 5 times)

(then)

Invalid security sector detected. Please check disk and try again.

eventually i had to hit abort and after about 1 minute an error message that says "Read failed" popped on the screen and that's the end of it.

After repeating the process 6 more times with the same result i decided to try with a different game (FF2).

no suprise it stopped at processing security sector again, it looked like I was gonna get the same thing, but after a few more trials it maginally went through and completed the process. i was also able to verify the .iso is ixtreme compatible.

so i went back to the first game i tried to rip, still same thing happened.

Anyone know what is going on?

I also tried another program (forgot the name of it) as suggested in another tread. Same thing happened. This one stopped at 3% and said "can't extract ss!"
