Hi,
I just wanted to gauge am I the only person having problems with the Eurovox PVR - if so it may be related to the 120GB WD drive I have in it.
Basically I have had numerous Eurovoxes over the years and was really looking forward to getting the PVR functionality but I am very disappointed.
Pause works fine all the time.
However, sometimes if you press record it fails to start after pausing for almost a minute. REC on the display disappears.
Secondly and most annoyingly is if you record a program after the system has been on standby, it can and almost always fails and deletes all other recordings on the drive. I was recording a 10 minute cartoon every morning for a week for my son. I made sure to power off the box before each recording but this morning I forgot/got lazy and just press record after coming out of standby for the night. Blip and all is blank. Tears ensued and with no way of backing up recordings ...
When you use the scheduler to record it often messes up and your left with all your recording represented by the radio background picture. If you power cycle the machine you can sometimes get them back but mostly not.
I have stopped doing anything out of the ordinary - like deleting or editing recordings but this hasn't helped me in the reliability stakes.
Can't fault the box itself but the recording functionality can't be relied upon. Pausing live TV is very useful but I wanted more.
Is there a V2 of the software planned?

I think you would be much better off at the thread for a response(Link Below) you have most likely the latest firmware V1.1a ? - not heard anything about a Version 2 as yet.
