Please can someone help me before I tear my hair out!! I have a software folder which I want to install on my pc or if easier burn to disc then install.

The folders contains the folling subfolders:
Disk 1 - containing two files called mdf & mds
Disk 2 - containing two files called mdf & mds
There are also two other folders containing .bin files.

I have trawled through the various tutorials on this site but still can't get the software to install. I have used Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools but to no avail ... I must be doing something wrong.

I did manage to start some sort of install with Daemon Tools (goodness knows how!) and it went so far OK then asked for Disk #2 ... when I browsed for it and clicked OK it failed to do anything.

Please can someone tell me step by step what to do? I will do whatever is easiest to access this software. I have tried and tried to work out what I am doing wrong but have had to contact this forum in the end.

HELP !!!!

Alcohol should work fine to burn Disk 1 and Disk 2

You first need to know if its DVD or CD images. Check the file size of each folder.

In Alchohol, just select "Burning Image wizard" and browse for the file in Disk 1.
Burn it
Then do the same for Disk 2

As for you .bin files are they in another folder, they are usually burned to CD.
So you can use Alcohol to burn them also.

Without knowing what your "software" is, its hard to say your exact procedure.
Was there no instructions for you to tell you how to burn it, like say perhaps where it came from.

Hi there smokyrain and thanks for your reply.

The software I have is called 'Stacked by Daniel Negreanu', it's a poker game software and there were no installation instructions with it.
The software folder has five folders within it, disk one, disk two, 2 x bin file folders and a patch folder. The disk folders are around 750mb each, so I guess too big for cds.

Could I burn the .bin folders and the patch folder onto one cd?

Thanks.

Ok the Disk 1 and Disk 2 are CD

Here is info I have found.
/Disk 1/Stacked.mdf 775.02 MiB
/Disk 1/Stacked.mds 26.44 KiB
/Disk 2/Stacked.mdf 733.5 MiB
/Disk 2/Stacked.mds 25.07 KiB
/Patch/setup.exe 7.51 MiB

Is this the same as yours.

Not sure what your .BIN files are for, unless they are additions to the game.

So you can also install with Daemon tools V4.10 and have all options enabled. Supposed to work anyway.

Hi smokyrain,

Yes that's the same as what I have, except for the two .bin folders I have.

I have tried Daemon Tools, but I must have gone wrong somewhere ... it asked to browse for disk two which I found but then it failed to carry on from there.

What do you mean by having all the options enabled ?

Ok not sure why it would error, but it does sometimes.
Maybe you selected the .mds instead of the .mdf or the opposite.

I find if it errors, I try the other file then.

By all options enable, I meant in Emulation

Right-click Daemon Tools, Click Emulation, click "all options on"
