i got the chip, and looking at it on the wii clip, only the ground, power and points C D E F G H & J are soldered....
points 5 6 7 8 9 K L M N & P are NOT soldered...
i paid these guys an extra $5 to solder it and send it ready to be plugged in. did they just NOT do their job properly, or is this how its in fact supposed to be done?
I'm referencing http://www.wii-clip.com/ and it shows that all points are soldered on the chip...
should i solder the remaining points myself? should i leave them unsoldered??
PLUS, there is a single small wire inside the packaging with it (not talking about the usb flashing ribbon).... why is this even necessary? i have no instructions as to why i would need a single extra wire... i was under the impression that this was "clip" and play?
I might be mis-informed by www.wii-clip.com but would like some confirmation....
by cross-analyzing the chip i have, it looks very much like the d2pro9 chip... which only requires 9 points of solder.... which happens to be how many points are soldered to the wii clip: power, ground, and C D E F G H J (9 total). i then compared these points with the 9 wire install, and they match identically...
why, then, does wii-clip.com show EVERY point soldered? should they be soldered anyway to the wii clip, even though its supposedly a 9 point solder? is the wii-clip site just mis-leading? I would believe so, BUT it is the manufacturer's website for the wii clip, so its hard to pass it off as them just posting a flawed install diagram...
Looking at the poor english on the site does make me think they are deffinitely prone to such error though...
hehe, 10 of those points dont need to be soldered but we will be soldering them all as when customers get them , they freak out if everything is not soldered.
