I was just curious, is it necessary to update the firmware of the 360 mod? My update must be very old, probably a year ago or so. Is there any benefits or downsides if I do not update or?

The new ixtreme has different read speeds you can select, and also prevents you from playing non-stealthed games. So if you play on live it could be considered more secure.

depends on what drive he has, 1.4.1 is the newest for benqs. 1.4 for everything else.
