Playing Mpeg4 video with ogg sound

I have a mpeg4 video with ogg sound in an AVI container and the video keeps freezing on my ps3. The sound continues to play. And it can be fast forwarded past the freeze point and will continue to play then freeze again. Anyone have any ideas what this could be??

Thanks in advance. I am new to the forum, and I searched but found nothing on this topic.

It's possible you have a corrupt video file. Does it play fine on your PC?

Yes it plays fine on the pc. I can also convert it to divx and it plays fine with large degree of loss

Then it looks like you might have to re-encode the video. That SHOULD fix the problem.
