hi have got the above box but didnt realise it would come without software. What exactly do I need to do? The cable it came with doesn't fit into the back of the box and I am very confused! Do I need a usb cable with the same head on each end???

You need a USB stick. Look in Eamos at the bottom of my post. You will find all you need there.

hi I bought a serial to usb cable today cos the null modem thing didn't fit, was that the right thing to do? Thanks!

hi I got my dad's usb stick and am in the process now, it looks easy enough so far will let you know in about 10 mins !

hi, it worked great ! Just make sure you download the binfile in Firmware as that's the key one. It is scannig in all the channels now. Best of luck !

hi guys, I got the sv4 a few days ago and have tried every day to get it working, loaded up firmware V1.02 Beta & BG LOGO 080904 and it still can't find any channels, I live in N@v@n and have Ch*r*s. Is there something I've missed, please help as its taking over my life and the misses is giving me grief.

Press menu, type 1570 on remote and turn keycode on.

Right, well the answer is you don't - that is only for Starview 4.

Ok have just tried that and no luck, auto scanned (Ch*r*s) & (Ch*r*s C*rk) and says no new channel.

Can anybody tell me how to set up the box super usb as it doesn't work. I've scanned all the channels but none of them work. In the instructions it says push exit onto a blank screen, this doesnt happen :S any advise?

follow these instructions after downloading ver 1.05 fix onto your usb stick Instructions SV4 Supr USB
To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port at the back of the receiver.
Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB at the bottom of the screen.
Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the (Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen.
Highlight "theboxsuperusb_v1.01_beta" with the remote and press the ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.
Once that is complete, do that again but with the "TheBoxSuperUSB_BG_LOGO_080904" file.
Once that is done,
? Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,
? Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW
? Then automatic scan
? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
? Press menu then 1570,
? Go down to the bottom option and turn EMU to ON.
? Now exit 3 times and go to S*y Sports and let it update.
