I've had my wii moded for awhile now with now problems. For awhile I was only playing SSBB. Recently I tried playing a backup. It didn't work. Being aware that 3.3U blocks trucha signed games I tried all of them to no avail.

I then put in the wii 1.9s config disc...no response. I then tried the recovery disc...didn't work.

I used the system downgrader to bring my console back down to 3.2U. I still can't play any backups or use any of the config discs.

I reopened my wii and inspected the solder joints. Everything looks great.

At this point I don't know what to do. Anything else I should try or is my chip broken. I'm willing to buy another one, I just don't want to waste my money if I don't have to.

Out of curiosity, what did you do with the recovery disk? Because that dosent appear to work when it is in fact working. You start up the wii, insert the disk and let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes without touching anything.

That is a goo questiom! Also, do you see any signs of life in the disc channel when using a GCOS disc?

I've tried the recovery disc multiple times. What most people have said to do is insert the disc. Press reset, and then let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

I have a backup for metal gear solid on a GCOS disc. Doesn't respond whatsoever.
