Ok,I bet this is a stupid question,but after you downloaded the codecs,what do you have to do with them?
Cuz I downloaded a codec pack,and WMM still doesn't take my avi file.
And then I tried to convert,but it doesn't work for meeee ! =(
I dunno what I'm doing wrong,please help..
And otherwise, does any one know another free program like WMM
to edit and cut (etc) vids?

Which codec are you using
Download K lite Codec pack,
install it
Your .avi files will run on WMP
K lite is what I use and it works perfectly
You could also download the program GOMPlayer, it plays .avi files without having to install a codec, has lots of options and is free
(+[_]%) 1: 2.60 > 2.80 > 2.81 >3.03 > 1.50 > 3.52M33 > 3.52M33-4 > 3.90M33 > 3.90M33-3 > 4.01M33 > 4.01M33-2 > 5.00M33 > 5.00M33-3

You installed the KLite codec pack??
It should work, no problem
Try it again, and if it doesn't work, Try downloading GOMPlayer

Did you get the codec to work, or did u install gomplayer
You should mess around with gomplayer settings, as they can really improve visual quality

That GomPlayer really is good player. I would recommend it too!
