I have a via6421 sata card and a benq drive. I made the boot on my usb using iprep. I boot the usb and follow the screen. I enter the serial dben xxxxxxx xxxxx and hit enter. then it says hit y to do the mtk vendo thing. when I do that it says error flashing/back up failed. I dont know what to do. I wanted to use dos flash but I cand find the port address. I think that it is wierd that my sata card doesn't show up in device manager. I just installed the drivers that came on the disk. I am new at this and I really need help.

What version of iPrep are you using?

I used iPrep 101 v007.3 Beta Setup and had the same issue.

I then used iPrep_101-006 and it worked fine.

101 v006 says no valid firmware loaded using ixtreme 1.41

larrylje thanks for your help. I think it worked. I used a earlier build of the benq firmware that was recognized in the older version of iprep. I have to get some dvd+r dl to make some back ups tomorrow and see if it worked.

What older version of of the firmware are you using? i thought there was only the 1.4/1.4.1 for the benq, i would be careful depending on the firmware your using. If its something older i would not go on live with a backup, make sure your ethernet cable isn't even plugged in.

You should have flashed with Benq iXtreme v1.41 firmware if you haven't then try flashing it again.

You have to update your ixdef file in order for it to recognize the firmware.In iPrep just update your ixtreme definitions and it should take it.
