8gb Memory Stick *fake*

Ok. i know i got a fake 8gb memory stick. but here's the problem when i have games on it and the so much space is being used like 2gb's of it, it goes "there are no games" and and the same in SaveData ("There is no Save data"). But There is music and video's shown in their positions. and when i connect it up on the comp it doesnt show the games from the PSP folder aswell as the Save Data.But there is so much space being used and i dont have any ISO's It Just doesn't show the Games from GAME folder in The PSP folder.

Any Help or Replies Would be greatly appreciated!

Forgot To Say the Question:
Does Anyone Know how to retrieve the save data or the games from the memory stick? Rather than formatting?

When you reformat you loose everything. You can't recover any data, are you sure that the MS is fake? Some real cards when you check under "Information" it will read "unknown". A small percentage of real cards turn up like that. Check this out first: http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/FAKE-Sony-Memo...000000001535763

Your only hope is to try to reformat the card, don't use the PSP XMB to reformat. You need to reformat and adjust the partition. You need to use "mpsformat.exe" you will need to google it. After you have done that hopefully the MB counter can display accurate disc space.

Yes, Im positive that its a fake and just wondering if i could recover any data that is being used on the memory stick but not showing up on the comp. or psp. Just hoping to receive the data not showing up on any where.

invest in a genuine card and you won't have these issues... there won't be gigs of "invisible" space being taken up...

you bought a fake 8gb card and now you want a full 8gb's to be free to use ?? why would you expect that ? if it was a genuine card I could understand expecting things to work as they should...

how do you know it isn't a 2gb card rigged to appear like a 8gb card ?? you're lucky to be able to store anything on it at all... personally i would throw it in the trash . . ..

The the only place I shop online from is Amazon.com Only buy from trusted sellers. Everybody who uses ebay should know that ebay is only good for certain things. Items of high value, you should buy those at a store or from a high respected site. If you want to by an MS go to amazon.com I just bought two 16GB ProDuo and yes both are genuine.

did you buy the card from hong kong?? i bought an mp4 from there that was said to be 4gb when infact it turned out to be 1gb... so i still use ebay (don't buy from hong kong anymore) but i ordered my 8gb card from usa it is a returned card but i am hoping it will be the real thing and going by feedback i think it will be.. just have to wait til it gets here..

my guess is you will have to format to show the real size and then hopefully it will work right... sounds same as what i had to do with mp4 player
