Hi All

I have been reading through the forum here and I am getting more confused the more I read. I hope you can help me sort out my problem.

I have a US Wii console NTSC modded with Wiikey. The chip is GC2-D2B.
I have checked the firmware is 3.01U.

After having the unit modded, I have not been brave enough to do an online system update in case all the games disks can not be read.

I have in my collection many copied games and some original games. The problem is I am able to play some of the copied games but a lot of them can not be read in the Wii.

Recently I bought a WiiFit for my family which is a Japanese set. The seller was kind enough to include a US WiiFit disk as well. The Jap disk is original. I put it into the console but it does not read and also the US disk as well. Of course, I cant use the WiiFit at all.

I called the seller and they advise that the IC must be upgraded, so far I have not heard about upgrading the IC from this forum.

Can you be kind enough to guide me step by step how to go about solving this problem, upgrading the firmware and make the Wii be able to read all the copied games as well? With deepest appreciation.
