I'm not exactly new to PSP modding, but I'm still having trouble getting Bookr to work properly. I'm not sure if the .pdf files I'm trying to read are too big but every time I try, it gives me a loading screen and then the whole PSP shuts off.

Yea I'm having that same problem. My other pdf files work but once I try to read a certain pdf of mine, it just says loading, then turns off. I tried to use a pdf splitter but the same problem happens. It just shuts off. I've shrunk it down from 45mb to 6 mb using the splitter.
Can anyone help?

I had a few issues with PDFs, so I just converted them to .txts.... i know that doesnt really solve the problem especially if the PDF has pictures. You can try enabling fast load for PDFs.

Haha yea I tried to convert them into txts but it came out as blanks. As for the fast load, that doesn't work either. I wonder what the problem could be.

What program are you using to convert? I usually just open a notepad file and select all text within adobe reader then paste... so it shouldnt come out blank if you do something like that.

I think the problem with my pdf is, it's a scan of pages so I can't really copy the text. It's more like a bunch of pictures.

I'd been trying to find answers on the web, but I haven't really found anything yet...
Anyone know any other good forums that discuss this issue?

I'm thinking, I'm not for certain yet, but I think it's because they're picture scans and not text. When you try to load your pdf, is that pdf a picture scan or a text scan?
I'm thinking it's either that or a memory card problem

Picture Scans can overload the psp. Try the fasload what Aethenoth said. The PSP (BookR) can't handle big images. Also, change the CPU speed to 333.
Hope this helps

Ok, so, maybe it's the size of the file I'm trying to read.
Is 2mb too awesome for Bookr, or am I just trippin' out?
I tried the whole fast load with the CPU speed at 333.
Same results.
Maybe it's the firmware???
( I have 3.71 m33-3 )
Ooh, and I forgot to mention that yeah, they were picture scans.

Yea mine was a picture scan too.
I've come to the conclusion that bookr can't read picture scan pdf files. I've researched a little bit and there's a way to make your pdf into jpeg files and you can view them like that.
I have yet to try that though, I've been too busy to do it but I'll be sure to do it by this weekend and see how that goes.
