When I burn with cucusoft my dvd is in good enough quality, but it skips every second or so, like it missing a frame.

it's just jumpy and I'm not sure why.

using avi2dvd it isnt jumpy at all (but avi2dvd cannot properly encode all my avi's) so I want to use cucusoft, I tried lowering the bit rate, changing it from ntsc to pal, but no change.

any advice?

Not sure why you'd do so...that's a total split from the norm. Stick with your own regions format.

It's a standard answer that could possibly solve your dilemmas. Whatever the brand..whatever the rated speed, half it! If they are 16X then burn at 4X or 8X speed. Give us the brand of disc you choose and there will be an answer.

It's been a while since I've seen this but, clean you're DVD's with isoprophyl alcohol...as it helps. Take a moistened cotton bud and wipe the surface of any dvd........did you see anything? :)

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.

My dvds/burner can burn PERFECTLY with another program (avi2dvd) but not so with cucu.

I just burned another at 4x instead of the usual 8/16x, and it seems to have worked!

i also changed one setting, instead of going at 24 fps i set it to 25 fps... !
