Is it safe to format the Wii memory?

My Wii is 3.2E, and I have 1.9s Wiikey. All backups are working fine but I am unable to install WADs, I think I did something wrong when trying to install the homebrew DVD tool, which didn't work either. Is it safe to format the Wii memory and update it back to 3.2E using Mario Kart?

It's safe to format the wii memory, but doing so won't effect the firmware or custom ios drive update.

Also, since wads are generally installed from the SD card I dont think that the homebrew DVD tool is what's causing your problem. Try using the most recent version of the wad manager.
