Hey, everyone -
I am a complete and total noob in the world of PSP homebrew. I have a PSP Slim and am wanting to play emulators for SNES, NES, Genesis, Gameboy, and MAME on my PSP. I am completely lost as to how to go about doing this. I have gotten as far as getting a Pandora battery from finchmall.com, which also included a memory stick with 3.80 M33-5 firmware on it. I have installed the firmware, and that's about the extent of my "vast" knowledge.
Can anyone explain it in noob terms (or possibly provide a link) of how I can go about getting these emulators put on my PSP? I would greatly appreciate it and let me apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Thanks for the help!
I'm not seeing any of the folders to put the emulator files into the PSP. I have it hooked into my computer via USB. It comes up in My Computer as Drive F: Removable Disk. When I go into explore that, the only folders that come up are "kd" and "registry."

DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING !!! If so you would brick your PSP.
1. Turn off your PSP fully (by holding the power button)
2. Turn it on again while holding the R button
3. This should bring you to the Recovery Mode
4. Go to Config
5. Change the XMB USB device to Memory Stick
6. Exit the Recovery Mode
Do not mess with the Recovery mode unless you know what you are doing.
Now try it.

I tried that....still nothing new. I actually already had it set to Memory Stick.
Am I accessing the PSP correctly in order to copy files over to the memory stick when I plug it into the computer via USB, and opening via Windows Explorer?

When it says to place files into the PSP/Game foler is where I'm getting confused. I can't find the folder. Or do I need to create it?
Again, I really appreciate the help!

it suppose to be put on the memory stick. You can find the folder cause you are getting to the PSP flash (not the MS).

How do I access the memory stick? When I plug the PSP into the computer and turn on the USB connection, it only gives me the option to use Windows Explorer. After going into Windows Explorer, it recognizes the PSP as Removable Disk (F:). Going into that, the only 2 options are the flash folders kd and registry. Should I be using a card reader, or is it possible to access the memory stick via usb?
Please forgive my stupidity on this subject!

You can access to Memory Stick with the USB connection on the XMB. However, there could be a bug in the firmware. That is why I tell you to upgrade to your firmware. You can use the card reader

Ok, my dumba$$ was able to access it with a card reader. I was able to get snes9xtyl running like your guide says (great job, btw). But the sound is very slow on the games. This version of snes9xtyl also doesn't seem to allow changes to framerates (the screen on my psp is different than what is on your guide, yet it says it's the same version).
