Hi all,i was wondering if anybody could tell me if there is a program that would let me take parts off various dvd's and put them on on disc, i.e. songs from movies such as movies from the 50's, i hope someone can help, and i hope you understand what i mean lol
thanks in advance

I think that all editing programs would allow you to do this. What platform are you editing with and how would you be ingesting the video?

you might be able to use the demo of videoredotvsuite to do it. The demo will let you edit a dvd and remove the sections you want using frame accurate cuts. You can then save the edit parts into mpeg2 without losing quality. The demo can let you save a max of 30 minute files.

Another way to do it is to convert your dvd into an avi(xvid), then you can use the free avidemux to edit the avi. Avidemux will edit the avi using frame accurate cuts with no loss of quality.
