Okay so this is my problem, i'm feeling really bad about this because i bought this psp not more then 2 months ago and barely played it because of office work, anyway it had the 4.01 m33-2 firmware installed and i was playing castlevania dracula chronicles or whatever, and using cwcheats at the same time. so everything was going well until BAM! my psp switches off.
so i try putting it back on but the psp power light goes on for about 30 seconds and goes off, i end up thinking that the battery is low bat so i plug the psp to the charger and nothing. So i know now that the psp is bricked.
so now i'm thinking "no big deal! i got pandora battery, no software brick can stop me" so i plug the pandora battery, the power, memory card and wifi leds go on as usual and... NOTHING! they stay on for about 45 seconds and then go back off! so now i start stressing, check on other forums and find out that many people have the same problem with their PSPs but no one know how to fix it.
so while i'm busy checking out forums, i'm still trying to plug the pandora battery in and out and then alla sudden, THE RECOVERY MENU APPEARS! BUT! me being myself, i start thinking that the psp is now okay and i don't need to downgrade it again so i take the battery out, try on the normal battery but IT DOESN'T WORK! so alright, i try putting pandora battery back in to downgrade but IT DOESN'T F***ING WORK!!! so now i'm stuck and i don't know what to do, the recovery menu hasn't appeared again since and i'm out of solutions. i know that it's a software fault and i'm pretty sure that cwcheats has something to do with it since the game froze a few times before when using cheats (like almost any other game) andthere were a few glitches also while i was playing the game. so yeah, i've got a brand new psp that's bricked because of a software fault and no solution so if ANYONE know the solution to this problem, please DO help..
PS: i'm not pointing any finger or trying to blame the makers of cwcheats, i'm just stating my problem..
i just tried DDC v3 and it's not working, same problem occurs, i've read that maybe trying a purchased pandora battery will fix the problem but i kinda doubt that there's any difference between a hard modded and soft modded battery... anyone have any idea?
There is no way it is bricked from that. You didn't install anything with the Pandora yet right ?
Try taking out the battery and plugin the AC adapter. Then turn it on while holding R. What's the result ?

hi mr gooey, it's noted, yeah i figured starting a thread would be a better idea.. and i found the PM link aftera while lol kinda felt stupid since it was right in the middle of the screen!
anyway, what do you mean by "You didn't install anything with the Pandora yet right ?" i've installed homebrewfirmware with that pandora if that's what you're asking.. and i've tried plugging the charger and trying to access recovery menu but no luck there..
oh and for general information, the pandora i have is hard modded and is working with my friend's PSP right now.
no no, the power light goes on and then goes off, basically, nothing changes.. i also tried plugging power after insterting pandora and turning psp on and off with pandora battery but it didn't work.
i'm gonna try DC7 right now, where can i get psp grader?
i'll download them tonight and try them tomorrow, i won't have time tonight, anyway, i'll post tomorrow night after i tried
hello, me again! so i tried DC7 and PSPGrader but nothing succeeded! the outcome was the same fot both, lights turning on and then going off after a little while! sigh.. so what do you think? is this 250 bucks down the drain? maybe i could spend like another 50 bucks on a broken display PSP and switch main boards with mine?.. argh.. this is soooo messed up.. but mrgooey, you said there's no way it bricked from using cwcheats, how can you be so certain of that? cuz yeah, the PSP froze a few times because of cwcheats before it went off for the last time.. like, the background graphics would do this statiky thing before it froze, then it was doing that same thing before it froze for good.. so this is why i'm so convinced cwcheats did something to the psp soft or SOMETHING like that.. or are the PSP BIOS completely protected against that?
