HOW CAN I COPY MY OLD VHS FILMS TO A DVD RECORDER WHEN IT SAYS ABOUT COPY PROTECTION ON IT, AS THEY ARE FOR MY OWN USE AS I CAN NOT BUY MOST OF THEM ANYWERE ON DVD, PLEASE CAN YOU HELP.

You can start by turning off your caps lock..and stop shouting!

Try typing your question into the search function at the top of the page..eg: vhs to dvd

You have a case of macrovision.. You need a macrovision stripper box.

There are about 4 different types that were used over the years.. not every box works for every kind.

It often works by reducing the level of the field sync pulse in the video signal.. a TV will not care too much because of something called "flywheel sync" which will replace the missing sync pulses, but a video recorder will either record garbage, or if it is not a real antique it will say "protected" and refuse to record.
Later versions used the line sync pulses instead.. with pretty much the same end result.

I Use A Sima Go DVD CT-200 And i have Copied over 200 of my tapes to dvd perfectly everytime

Over Half Were DIsney Movies and There Know For Having The Worst Protections
