I have a system that I upgraded to Vista. I like Vista but some of my programs (that I really use often)will not work correctly in it. I have been trying to set up a dual boot system with both Vista and XP. (NOT MY TOPIC HERE) I have "killed" the HD with Active Boot and created and formatted 2 partitions on my HD. I changed the boot order in bios and then attempted to reinstall XP and then reinstall Vista on the different partitions. This did not work correctly so I reversed the process. Vista installed fine but the XP disk would not boot. It would get to the "checking system resources" point and just stop. I then "killed" the disk again and tried to merely install XP. It would just stop at the same place. I have three different versions of XP that I have burned to disk as ISO files using either Nero 7 or MagicISO. One of these I have already used successfully but now none of them will boot. Help!?!?!?
