I have custom firmware on my psp, I had a fella do it for me with his pandora battery, he said at the time if new firmware came out I could do an upgrade on the psp and it would upgrade to the latest custom firmware. Just wondering is this true or will it upgrade to the normal firmware, thanks phil

depend on what fw your on and if you have m33 update selected in recovery mode

if your on fw 3.80 and above then i think thats when m33 update was implemented so just click the update and it will download the lastest cfw for you

also make sure that you have it set in the recovery mode other wise it will download the normal sony update

also 4.01m33 is the latest cfw so if you have it you wont need to update
