Burn process failed In Nero, transfer mode stuck at PIO

Hello.
After a dozen or so failed burns on Nero 8, I tried to set the DMA in Windows XP. I have selected "DMA if Available" in the Secondary channel. But the Current Transfer Mode still reads "PIO Mode". I tried toggling between the two with restarts, but DMA doesn't stick. Please help!

See if this LINK helps with your DMA problem.

Also if you are, don't multitask while processing, or close down some programs running in the background as you are using up the majority of your memory.

Verbatim DVD+R DL are the most reliable dual layer disks. Plus your burner does not like the ones you are using. Burn at 2.4x.

Thanks for the input. The DMA link you sent suggests an uninstall of the driver for that channel If both Device 0 and Device 1 are set to PIO". However on my computer only Device 1 has the problem. Should I still uninstall?

Nero is still not burning. I shut off all programs including antivirus and slowed the burn down to 2.4X. I still cannot figure out why 71% of the memory is being used for this. Does anyone have suggestions? Here is the new log:
