Hi there, I am fairly novice when it comes to dvd burning, but i have burnt alot of films of late. My personal favourite is Xilisoft DVD creator (as i can usually get two large films on one dvd)
However I am trying to put a 437 MB (458,740,274 bytes) video on a dvd, but when i "add video file" to the list in Xilisoft, it tells me it's going to try to burn it at 6562mb (i only have 4.7gb discs.)
Normally, i can get 2 700+mb video files on one 4.7gb disc with ease using Xilisoft, so this is strange?
Sorry to reply to myself, but i couldnt see the edit button!
- I just compared the details of the file to another video. which is higher in size, yet i can fit 2 of them on one disc. theres some info which is conciderably higher in the troublesome video...
Troublesome video file: Length: 2 hrs 7 mins
Data Rate: 411kbps
Total bitrate: 507kbps
Frame rate: 23 fps Audio bitrate: 95kbs
Comparison Video file Length: 1 hrs 29 mins
Data Rate: 2kbps
Total bitrate: 137kbps
Frame rate: 25 fps Audio bitrate: 134kbs
you should use this software as it can burn multiple movies also. You have to pay but believe me,it is worth it.
Edit the settings so the file doesn't split(set it to about 8500) and then convert.
Shrink the files with dvd shrink if they are too big and then burn away!
