Ok first just load up the memor32 in your PS2 with no disk, then go to PS2 Browser and check out the memory card.
Then shut down, put in disk and restart the PS2, see if that helps.
If not, then go to Browser, then insert disk and load it.
What firmware are you using and what Version PS2 do you have?
