How to backup a GC 1019 Memory card to pc?

Very simply, I would like to hear of various methods to backing up a GameCube Nintendo Memory Card to a PC or other Long-term storage device.

I have recently read of one method, the info about it was located here ( play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-26-49-en-70-1yg.html ) But I'd like to hear from others who bought it about their experience with it.

Sorry if this inquiry belongs in a different forum. It's just a general curiosity and I'm not a frequent reader of this forum. I hope it's still legal to ask these kind of questions. It's starting to feel like if you ask something publicly that is not in the best interests of corporate manifest destiny, you, or those whom you asked the question to, may come under legal scrutiny. It's not fun, having to be afraid that you might say the wrong word or ask the wrong question. I miss the freedom of speech.
