The proper way to Eject a Backup?

Is there a proper way I have too eject an xbox360 backup so that it will be less likely to scratch my lens? I usually exit to the dashboard then eject from that point.
Also are Verbatims the best DVD+R DL's I can use? and why are they the best? they are pretty quite in my drive I noticed
Do I need a DVD+R DL drive to burn or can I use a DVD-R DL drive? what the difference? could I use a DVD -+R DL DRIVE? I have the one with the [lus on top and minus on bottom its a pioneer

The Pioneer will probably burn the games just fine. I use a Pioneer 111D, had it for years, and it still works great. People have been using Verbatim, just because they last longer then other discs, when playing games. I've tried Memorex, TDK, and Sony brands, and they maybe last about 2 weeks, before it gives me a dirty disc error.
There really isn't a "proper" way of ejecting the disc. I eject it whenever really, and I've had this 360 for a while, and still no problems.
And you will want to get DVD+R DL's because the DVD-R DL's I'm hearing don't set the booktype correctly, so just stick with DVD+R DL's.

But My pioneer is DVD+RW DL is that OK? thats what it says on the drive at least
Is it possible to burn a DVD+R media with this drive?

I wouldn't think that that would be a problem. I mean, didn't you already burn a game, and it works?! If it works, it should be fine!

On another Drive though mate this is my laptop drive.
I meant DVD+RW DL not DVD-R DL sorry just wondering because I wanna burn from my laptop

I've heard from others having problems burning with their Laptop! I really don't know what the problem was though... I mean you might as well give it a shot, to see if it works, and if it doesn't then you know you can't do it that way!

But would it be possible to burn a DVD+R DL media like Verbatim with a DVD+RW DL Drive pioneer? (Technically speaking of course)

I'm not 100% positive, but I would think that it would work just fine! You will want to put the disc in the drive, and see if it even detects it!
