Hello again guys, I have the old version wii key on my nintendo, and when I try to play Okami, or Star Wars the Force Unleashed, the console tries to start a system update, but warning that any unauthorized modification might be harmed, preventing me from doing the system update. So I googled a solution that brought me to afterdawn, however I only saw the files I needed to update, and burned them to the DVDs.(Firstly I used the 1.9s PAL, because my wii is from the uk, but the modchip is from the US, so I tried both, not sure if that was a good idea).
If any of you have a clue please help me, I really want to play Star Wars
Theres a very nice guide to updating the wiikey in the ultimate sticky sticky, just follow those directions to update your wiikey. And you're correct in using the PAL version of the update because you have a PALwii. It dosen't matter where the chip came from.
However, updating the wiikey wont do anything about the updates from the games you're trying to play. Good news though! So long as you're playing games from your wii's region (PAL for you) you can let it update without any worries. Those warnings are just there to scare you.
