hi new here so bare with me i have recently brought a new lcd tv which is great shows lovely picture untill i put the dvd on and i get sort of coulred shadowey lines moving across the screen i brought a new cheap dvd as well today and same thing is happening ! is there something im missing ? just want to watch a dvd on a nice screen lol thanks

There are many ways to connect a DVD to a TV. Theres the 21-pin "Scart", "component video" and the HDMI cable.

At a guess it may be a case of telling the TV which connection you are using and in fact what TV system you are using (PAL, NTSC).

See the TV's user guide for setting these things up :-)

Check all connections > easy. Possible ground fault interference > nightmare.
