If you are talking about the fmcb 1.7 and you do a multi-install then yes that will work as long as the unmodded ps2 is of the same region.

As for the older mc exploits using a PS1 disc, will only work on FAT PS2.

newbie here,

i also have a modded ps2 and a unmodded one.

in case i sucessfully created a mc exploit,
can i just copy the contents of the memory card with exploit to another memory card or do i have to do the procedure again.

will all backup games work on a umodded ps2 using the exploit?

Hi there

The fmcb cannot be copied from one mc to another, it must be installed.

The success rate of PS2 backups working is very good with FMCB and ESR.
ffgriever is busy right now, but am sure in the New Year he will have another new ESR.ELF
It is currently ESR r9b
