either of them really work fine, they do the job and are easy. I personally use schtrom because I think it is easiest to use. All you do is select the drive, file location you want the image, and how you want to rip it. Then it gets everything. My vote is for schtrom.
Dindi304...i have a question for you. i have used XBC for quite some time now and for some reason lately i'm having problems backing up my recent games. i get a successful burn and when i go to play the game it doesn't work. do you have any ideas?

funny, that is exactly the way xbc works, read and burn, nothing else.
xbc for me over 100 backup and counting.
Oh yeh. The reason I ask is because im not able to use either. I have a Flashed 360 ( works great, plays my d/l back ups ) I have a Kreon flashed drive and I have both XBC and schtrom but neither will recognize an orgional Xbox 360 game???? XBC the start buttom never un greys and the Schtrom says:
" Only Xbox back up discs can be extracted on a normal DVD-Rom without a patched firmware!! You can't extract orgional discs!"
I love both programs equally, if i'm having a problem backing up a game with one program i'll switch and use the other, works perfect for me every time..
I AM WORKING NOW!!!! X BOX CREATOR WORKS FOR ME!!! If anyone had the same problem i had with the start button being greyed out. Here is a ( silly ) fix. I just tried reinstalling and instead of using a shortcut placed on my desktop i ran the program EXACTLY from where it was installed. when I did that it worked ( go figure ). Just to double check myself, I did indeed create a shortcut and placed it on my desktop. when I did that it didn work again. So now I launch the program from where it installed ( as a default ) and it works. i don't understand it but i'm not going to question it. LOL!!!!! Hope this helps someone. Let me know if it did. I like to give back when possible.
