My local store only has DVD-R DL, so I bought a couple from him. Then I proceeded to flash my Hitachi 78FK drive with iExtreme 1.4. When i check the flash with the Toolbox software, and if I try to flash it with the firmware it tells me that the sectors are the same, hence, the flash should have been applied succesfully (My theory).
Now, i have proceeded to burn a stealthed copy of a game, but all I get is the video with "Insert into a Xbox360 to play bla bla".
Now here's the question:
Does it not work with DVD-R DLs? I have ordered 30 DVD+R DL 2.4x from Verbatim, and I hope they will work instead, if that is the problem
Thanks in advance - Much love.
ps. if you have any questions, feel free to ask :)
No single guide has mentioned the DVD-Rs, hence my question. They do exist though, and are widely known in my area.

Anyways, I've done a bucketload of searching on Google and other forums, but I finally got a strike.
A guy from the 360mods net forums posted this:
"Xbox 360 games require a custom layerbreak to work correctly. DvD+R DL discs support this, DvD-R DL discs do not support this. All xbox 360 backups must be burned to DvD+R DL media with a layerbreak of 1913760 and preferably booktyped to DvD-ROM." - Source: www[dot]360mods[dot]net/Forums/viewtopic/p=38205.html
So, in the backlight of it - It only accepts DVD+R DL. Thanks for the answer though!
ha, well I knew that there were a such thing as dvd-r dl, I just never see them being used as backups (is what I meant). I was searching for that info too, so glad you found it.
