Recently I used ImgBurn to burn a couple of files on DVD. But the filenames on my DVD only went up to 11 characters (8.3). I used ISO 9660+ UDF for the burn. I recently switched from Nero and when using Nero the full filenames were shown and not just the first 8 letters. I need full filenames so that I can know what the files are. How should I configure the filesystem so that I can have around 20+ characters and spaces and make sure that my standalone DVD (Philips DVDR 3400) can read it all? Thanks in advance.

I use the UDF for the name. I believe you have up to 63 characters to label your disk there.

Make sure you have UDF and Joliet checked.

If you are burning AVI files, your Philips standalone may shorten the filenames like my DVP 5982 does.

Oh good because I thought enabling Joliet would make the disc unreadable. That makes sense. Thank you again

I believe that's ImgBurn's default setting. I never changed it on mine.

In Iso 9660 should I leave it on level 1 or level 2 (I know level x isn't readable almost everywhere), if Joliet + UDF are enabled?

The default is level 1.
All these settings can be changed to what the user needs.

Mmm, thanks. I guess I should just include Joliet. By default does Nero include Joliet? Because Nero's defaults on my other computer did what it needed to do.
