Hello Everyone. As you can tell I'm a newbie and am having problems downloading games unto my psp. My module is a starwars 3.6 version (thick). I have downloaded utorrent and have winrar to extract files from games I have downloaded. What do I need to put onto my psp to transfer the files onto my psp. I have heard of Iso and cso files but dont know how this works. Can some one PLEASE explain to me step by step procedures as if you just started out. What's the 1st thing you did? What did you transfer unto your psp? What programs did you use to download games? Thanks and sorry for my newbie knowledge!!!

Please do some research first in google next time.

you need to get custom firmware to play ISO or CSO.
To downgrade (and get a custom firmware) or unbrick your PSP, you need the Pandora's Battery. There is three ways to get the Pandora Battery. You will also need to make the Magic Memory Card.

1. Find a someone who has a Custom Firmware that is willing to let you borrow their psp. You will use their psp to softmod the battery. Meaning using software to make the Pandora. If you willing to do this, follow this guide:

2. Hardmod the battery. Meaning that you have to open that battery up, and pulling out a pin. Note that if you pull the wrong one, your battery would be messed. If you are willing to do this, follow this guide

3. The most safest way, is to buy a premade pandora battery from the internet (use google or ebay). If so, follow this guide or use the same guide on the second step. I recommend buying from DealExtreme for $10.

Use this GUIDE from larrylje.

NOTE : TA-088 motherboards - Sony has just made new motherboards that stops the usuage of Pandora. If, you psp comes with 3.71 and up when you bought it. Please follow this GUIDE

Thanks Mr.Gooey.. I tried the second method and I should of known better..lol.. I cut into the battery cell and almost caught the battery on fire.. haha.. Well now I know better than to mess with that so I went ahead and ordered one pandora battery online along with a 2G magic memory stick off www.pandorasales.com Now when I update my PSP to a 4.01M33 I should be able to play ISO/Cso games right???? Thanks again for your help... I did do some research as you told me but am still fairly new to this so hopefully I made the right choice by buying what I think was the missing ingredients in order to play iso games.

lol , you mean like a spark ?

well ... it depends on the magic memory stick. Let's hope that the mms is compatible with the slim psp. If so, then you will get at least 3.60 M33 custom firmware. After that, you can upgrade to 4.01 M33. Yes, once you get to 4.01 M33 you can play ISO/CSO games
