Micro SD MS Pro Duo . Adapter Questions

Hello.

I'm considering buying a Micro SD to Pro Duo adapter to save money when I buy high capacity cards.

I was wondering if using these adapters with my Fat PSP will work as well as a regular Pro Duo.

Are the transfer rates the same, will my PSP be able to read memory as quickly?

If I'm playing my backed-up games, will I experience any problems, like lag?

And one last question, will the adapter support ANY capacitance of Micro SD card, like a 16/32GB one?

yes it will work, no it shouldnt lag aslong as the microSD/microSDHC is say a sandisk and is not fake and is magicgate supported and as far as i know 16gb is the highest but Photofast unveiled two new PSP products at the Computex 2008 event in Taiwan recently. The CR-5400 is a "dual slot adapter that converts microSD/microSDHC into Memory Stick Pro duo and provides 16GB of memory." Two of these can then be plugged into the CR-3100 which will give your PSP 32GB of storage. Photofast are also working to increase the maximum storage to 64GB useing 4 16gbmicroSD/microSDHC

OK, thanks.

But one more question; I've read that homebrew applications and backups of games are most reliable with a MagicGate supporting memory medium.

Will using one of these adapters create a problem when trying to run these things, because Micro SDHC cards don't have MagicGate support?

i wouldn't worry too much about it, everyone makes a big deal about magicgate and fake memory cards but i bought one of mine from ebay and was sent a 4GB sony pro duo that appears to be legit but its capacity is 160MB short and is not magicgate supported and to me that amount of space from a 4GB card is not that much and is probably close to the loss any 4GB memory stick loses and as for speed and functionality i have never lost any data and games don't lag or freeze for me unless its a plugin or something else interfering so like i said in my opinion magicgate doesn't matter.
