I have some other topics, but I won't put them here.
Back in January when I bought my Sansui DVD/VHS Combo Recorder/Player I also ordered some blank DVDs: three different brands, sources. One of these is Samsung Digitall DVD-R(a 25-count spindle). Thus far, in one situation or another several of these Samsung bits of waste material have failed. Last night while I was copying(from TV) a documentary(I do not recall the subject now.), I looked up to the TV screen and saw "Processing Please Wait," which is the message I get when I press Stop or something occurs internally.
I had not pressed Stop. At the top of the screen I saw "Reading." Then I knew that damned disc had failed. If memory serves, that' five of the 25 discs that have failed. The other four allowed me to copy material to them then later become inaccessible. . . .

Samsung has a fair reputation in electronics, but it is dripping down the drain on this score.

It's a wee bit too chilly here for frisbie tossing. . . .
