Can someone tell me what the BETA is for and also what magazine had the code in it.

the beta is for the online multiplayer. and it wasnt in any mags that i know of, you had to preorder the game to get the code, or be an original member of the COD fansite.

do you know what a beta version of a game is? Typically it's a free version of a game pre its retail release used to test to see if there are any major bugs or so. Like resistance 2 beta. It's used to test the multiplayer in this case, plus any gameplay issues that might pop up.

With that in mind, I am pretty sure the cod beta code is given to those who preordered the game. I do not remember reading that you could get it in a magazine.
