I downloaded Papaton Demo on 5.00 M33-3 from the PlayStation store on the PSP. When loading it it gave the PlayStation Portable logo and froze for a bit and then turned off. Why?

after trying patapon demo it worked fine the first time and i played it for about 10 minutes however the second time i loaded it i got the error that the game could not be started, and now i am getting the same problem of the black screen hanging but so far it just hangs and i have to do a force shutdown so wether or not all the demos are having issues like this or its just patapon I'm unsure but this is the only problem i have run into with 5.00 M33-3 so we can assume its not a problem with our PSPs and we should try more demos and see if others are running into this problem as well and if its just patapon.

You said Lego Batman worked on your PSP. Does it still work? I tried that out and it did not work for me.
What PSP are you using (Fat or slim), Do you have the 1.50 kernal installed, what are your settings in the recovery menu?

i have slim with default recovery settings only thing i change is the speed to 333mhz and i use the m33 driver since i use slim i dont have the 1.50 add on i just use time machine to go back to lower firmwares if needed.

i deleted and redownloaded patapon and it still freeezes, i download socom tactical strike and it works fine and i've tried it 3 times so far without problem, same with the batman demo.

It is my understanding from research that the games/demos from PSN are encrypted and will not work on CFW-However I thought that issue was partially resolved when M33-3 was released-I have downloaded a few games myself, including Lego Batman, as well as the Syphon Filter freebie that comes with the GOW slim bundle-Both of which give me the same 80010013(device/media not found)error. I wiped the games off of my memory stick and also the license folder and reactivated my psp via PSN-then tried downloading the games again-Still the same error. I have also tried bumping up the processor speed to no avail. At least i can still play ISO games-

now that's weird core2kid is yours a slim or fat? in any case it probably wouldn't matter because mine is a slim and i don't have that problem with all demos only the 2nd time + with patapon...

Mine is a fat. It seems that there is problems with fats runing demos, not slims. Maybe D_A will release a patch for this.

I got it!
To get it to work I did the following. I'll try to actually figure out what setting is causing the error a little later though.
In recovery menu:
Configuration:
Disabled
Disabled
5.xx
Disabled
Normal UMD Required
Disabled
Disabled
Memory Stick
Disabled
Disabled
Disabled

Advanced -> Advanced Configuration:
Disable all.

CPU Speed:
All default.

Mine worked fine after this. I tried the Demo Ecochrome.

I recently downloaded a Hot Shots Golf Demo from the PS Store on PSP.
I played it once. It worked.
Then i accidentally deleted it.
And i download it again.
This time it didn't work.
After the PSP logo. It just returns to the XMB stating:
An error has occured. (I forgot what the code was)

I'm using PSP Slim 5.00 M33-3.

Felicia Blue-PSP Slim: 3.71 M33-2>3.80 M33>3.90 M33-2>4.00 M33> 5.00 M33-6

I got the batman and syphon filter to work that I was having trouble with,I disabled everything in recovery like core2kid said-and then went through the settings individually-It's the GAME plugins setting in the advanced configuration menu that needs to be disabled for PSN games to work properly (its enabled by default-everything else can be left as it is. (Main menu->Advanced->Advanced configuration->GAME plugins)I am going to try a few other demos later (ie:Patapon) once my battery is finished charging.

**And then like a dumbass I was exiting out of the menus, and instead of selecting 'back'-I ended up hitting the 'format flash1 and reset settings'-whoops!

so that stands to reason that maybe its the plugins you have in game.txt thats stopping you from playing games?
anyway i wont to be changing anything since mine works fine, but i use cw_cheat, pspstates, hold, and custom firmware extender and they are not interfering except with patapon and like i said it worked once.

I dont have any plugins on my memory stick currently anyway-I just recently updated to 5.00M33-3 from 4.01M33 and have not had the time to find compatible plugins, themes, etc. for the newer firmware. I imagine that if I was loaded with plugins, that it may cause interferrence with those demo games-but it turned out to just be the one setting in the advanced configuration menu that did the trick.
