Quote:Playable Discs
Your DVD Player will play:
– Digital Video Discs (DVDs)
– Video CDs (VCDs)
– Super Video CDs (SVCDs)
– Digital Video Discs +
Recordable[Rewritable] (DVD+R[W]) – Compact Discs (CDs)
– MP3 discs, picture (Kodak, JPEG) files on CD-R(W).
– WMA files on CD-R(W).
– It may not be possible to play CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RWin all cases due to the type of disc or condition of the recording.
So.. it states that +RW are supported and seems to suggests that some -RW might be supported. It seems those particular Verbatim -RW won't work.
ah i see so in that case this one should work fine
Many dvd players do not support any rw disks at all... Because DVD Forum don't actually recognise (and never will) the rewritable format. It's down to individual manufacturers.. -rw is a very unusual format anyway. I don't see many players which do support it.
Yeah i deliberately chose a recorder that would use RW disks, though these days i don't use it very much (an expensive Panasonic) due to lack of a rooftop or wall-sided tv aerial (i'm certainly not brave/stupid enough to climb up the side of a Victorian house, no parachute!) though it's mostly due to there not being that much on that's worthy of recording.
