I've looked all over google and these forums for an answer to this, but has anyone installed homebrew software with the capabilities of the Wasabi modchip? I guess I could broaden my question to "what all can I do with my Wasabi modchip besides play backed up Wii and Gamecube games, and how do I do it?" The documentation from Wasabi is minimal at best.
I know that, I've installed homebrew through the twilight hack before, but can you install homebrew using the modchip instead of the twilight hack? Something I just came across on the Wasabi website that might be of interest to others reading this thread:
"In other news, we have a configuration disc almost ready for Wasabi, so stay tuned!"
Well, there was a time when homebrew could be installed via a burned disk which of course requires a modchip. The homebrew channel installer iso version is still available online. However, when firmware 3.3 blocked truncha-signed disks that kind of ended.
All a modchip does is allow burned disks to boot. The homebrew channel iso installer worked with any modchip. There isnt any homebrew specific to any modchips.
Config disks edit settings on the modchip. Changing the speed of the wii drive, turning region override on or off, exc. It dosent have anything to do with homebrew.
