PSP "Whirring" on the internet browser

Hi all
My PSP is whirring when I go into the internet browser to put in an address. It sounds like a button is stuck but the rest of the PSP is working fine.
Anyone have any ideas??

the thumb stick isn't seated correctly i assume... have you replaced the faceplate or opened your PSP up

try redoing it if you have or try and clean it...

i assume its a whirring motion and not sound

no it is actually a sound. It sounds like when you click across all the icons on your psp but really really fast. It is on a psp slim and I think someone has had it open at one time.
