3.90 m33-3 UMD Ripping Issue (Sid Meier's Pirates)

This is on the Sid Meier Pirates game, but it is the first actual UMD I have had a chance to rip, so I'm not sure if the problem is specific to the game or not.

This is what I did: I changed the storage device to the UMD, connected the PSP to a computer and copied the ISO off the UMD (only file on there). Then I loaded that ISO onto the memory stick. The game loads and then the PSP crashes after the logo screens (no error message... it just shuts off). The game works fine from the UMD. Do I have to do something else to get this to work? Thanks.

Did you happen to change the filename? By defalut its NP9660.iso when you rip it-If you did,try shortening the filename-it has to be less than 15 characters. Otherwise try ripping the game again-it may have been corrupted during the transfer or while ripping to the computer?

I changed the name but it is less than 15 chars... I also have loads of ISOs that have longer filenames than 15 chars and haven't seen the problem with them. I figured it is some kind of copy protection issue since I haven't had any problem with downloaded ISOs.

That could very well be-I dont personally have that game myself so I couldnt tell you if its the game or not-I guess try to rip it again, or just find it on a torrent or something.
