Trouble burning xbox 360 games (disc unplayable)

I got my xbox 360 moded this summer. It was having trouble so I brought it back and got it fixed about a month ago. I used to be able to burn games no trouble. I would check the games iso image with dvd mulleter and then used img burn to burn them. I also use verbatum dvd + R DL from singapore. I set the layer break on img burn to 1913760 and also have tried changing the book type to dvd-rom. My xbox is still able to read all of the games that I downloaded and burned before but after burning newer games I get disc un playable. I burn at 2.4x and I've tried 4x and it burns all the way though, but when I put it into my xbox 360 it gets a disc unplayable. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. I have 2 different types of burners a sony DRX 84OU and a lighton 20x. They have both worked in the past but now I get the disc unplayable from both of them. Please let me know what to do. I have read forums that say maybe to try a faster speed. I am tired of wasting my verbatum discs. please someone help me.

Also after getting the hardrive swaped out and remodded the games still weren't reading so I pot tweaked it. Now it reads the games that I have previously burned but when I try to burn new ones it gets disc unplayable.

Sounds to me like your burners could be going out. Both of em. If at all possible, try one more burner and see if it works.

Also, if your 360 is flashed, try flashing it to the 12x version.

Im pretty sure its not my burner the light-on is pretty old but they Sony I bought a month ago. I just had someone reflash my drive also. Is there some sort of trick to burning the newer games? please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I just tried burning another game but at 1x and it didn't work. I would assume that it is my xbox or xbox laser but the fact that it reads the games that I burned before getting it remoded makes me think something else is wrong.

just a point if u have ixtreme it wont play unstealthed games but ur checking that right like u said?

try out the burner people recommend which is the phillips and try clonecd.

dunno dude could be burner, unstealthed games depending on firmware u have etc
