hi, noob here looking for advice
ive got a brand new 360 that came with a lite on drive
im planning to replace it, a tutorial i read suggests benq to not get banned on live but what do you guys think about a samsung or hitachi instead?? also should i order one thats preflashed if thats possible?? any tips appreciated just want to get back to playing my backups asap

From what Iv'e Read about this you will have to get a samsung drive in flash it.You won't be able to get it preflashed cause of your key and spoofing I believe.Also If your a noob at sodering ,I wouldn't try this as it takes sodering to be able to Read your lite-on Firmware.I am sure if you look around on the net or forums you can find somebody to do it for ya for prob Cheap.

I could be wroung about some of this. But that was my outlook, as I have been reading up on them lately. I am going to buy another xbox and I know ill get stuck with a liteon.

you are right you want a benq, however the other drives will work, they are just saying you are putting more at risk being on XBL. yz is right it does require more tools than the average flash, and your best bet would be to ask a member on here. bhetrick would be a good first person to ask.
