okay, tonight i traded my old xbox 360 for another one because my old one was banned from xbox lives.. okay the problems with this new xbox 360 dvd drive is listed below
1) it cant play memorax disc
2) when i put in new games,, such as gears of war 2, fallout 3, and etc
an error comes out saying that please clean the disc.. i already checked on the disc, it's clean and scratch free
3) it's making very loud scratch sound whenever i put in my xbox 360 games
okay now my question is that do u guys think this is caused due to poor firmware modding or is it due to the dvd drive itself and that i need to get it replace.. please if anyone have similiar problems like this before.. what's the solution.
well first off, memorex is crap media, only use verbatim. That could very well solve your problem. But if it doesn't, it definitely sounds like it could also be a dvd drive issue. With the grinding and, it not being able to read the games, I would look into getting a whole new drive if the verbs don't fix it.
