You don't access secret menu to set up channels you must first flash the box with the latest firmware, you will find the information in the link marked EUROVOX at the bottom of post, have a read of that first.

Yes it is called a NULL MODEM lead, there is two serial leads and both are very similar, one is a straight through serial and is no good to you - so you need the correct one go to the link and have a look at the graphics okay, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi sailor41, just tried the link and it is fine, what operating system are you using, and is there any antivirus software you are running that might be causing you problems. Also you can try to download it from Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post and see if you can get it from there, at least it will pin point the problem and see whether it is your PC that is at fault. Click on link then click on Eurovox 4th down and then click on Eurovox PVR, then into Firmware this is the name of the file you want UFL_ex5000_v1.1a.zip don't forget to unzip it when you do get it.

It should be 6.887 VM in the UK, (need your area for more specific info) try a Factory Default and a Full powerscan on that frequency, you should be able to get them okay.

Hi Malci
got nearly all the channels now mate so thanks for that. I adjusted the scanning frequency to 200 through 400 when i do a power scan following factory reset. What should it be so it scans the whole range? ssuming thats why i cant get sports etc.
Many thanks again

Depends on what part of the UK you are in but a scan setting from 100 to 800Mhz will pick them all up. Just a longer scan.
