It can''t hurt but it's of no real value. Don't pass on Auslogics Disk Defrag, though. That one rules, espescially for large partitioned harddisks.

Hey born2ride

There is no real need for registry cleaners or registry defragmenters. Perhaps it would have been useful for the registry of Windows 2000, but for XP and Vista, the way the registry is based allows no real need for cleaners or defragmenters. Of course, using safe programs to clean your registry is good once in a while, simply to get rid of all the trash in there, but I wouldn't recommend a registry defragmenter as being beneficial in any way.

Best Regards :D

If you are looking for any system speed increase by using a registry cleaner then, no, that probably won't happen. A good registry cleaner can, however, remove the vestiges of uninstalled programs that might, conflict with an updated installed version of the same program (think Nero or any other large bloated program). Most have a registry backup option "just in case". With the tiny footprint and relatively fast scan and cleanup I always use CCleaner registry tool after any program uninstallation.
