I have the DVD Xcopy Platinum. When I use the XPRESS program, it reads the DVD fine and then shuts down the program before going to the Step 2 (writing phase). No warning or message, just shuts down when the reading is complete. The Platinum (advanced) reads & write is working fine and I have made several good copies. Anyone have any suggestions?

XCopy is so picky that the cause could be almost anything, start here -

Thx Pete,
I tried all the tricks on the black list. I have a new HP Pavilion so I looked for the HP DLA. Don't think I have it on this machien but I do have this CD/DVD software called "Record Now". Not sure if it is the culprit...It is not on the balck list. Seems odd that the DVD Xcopy Platinum (advanced) program would work but not the Xpress. Regards.

What I'd like you to do is try a top grade media, Ritek or Verbatim are good

321 Studio's would like their product to be the only thing on your PC.

I'd like for you to try DVDShrink (Free) + Nero. If you have Nero, great, if not we'll use their 30-day free trial -

They are easy and many have switched because of lack of problems -
